When Murphy’s Law is at play…
1. You come in the office at 7:50 a.m. (work officially starts at 9:00 a.m.) only to find out that Meralco is still ignoring your HR’s incessant phone calls.
2. The office engineer promises a genset up and running by 10:30 a.m. but at 11:00 a.m., you find out that the machine is still in Ortigas.
3. You go out to lunch (ALONE) seemingly worry-free and end up witnessing a snatching/robbing incident right outside the restaurant’s window.
4. You return to the office only to experience a writer’s nightmare: editing your work.
5. You have to COMMUTE home from freaking Pasig with rain pounding behind your back because the driver went on a week long vacation.
6. And you have to deal with picky cab drivers who have the gall to choose their route.
7. On top of that an FX driver makes fun of your size.
On the plus side…
1. Your friend gives you your most requested song *squee!*
2. Your interns flatter you by surprising you with banoffee pie
3. Your dad rescues you from walloping a taxi cab driver on the head by picking you up in the Stranded Pedestrian Area on the road.
4. Just as you were undergoing buyer’s remorse over a pair of boots it rains in Manila.
5. And you get to break it in by sidestepping and sloshing on puddles.
